Turning understanding into meaningful inclusion

At Neuro-diversity UK, we believe understanding neurodivergence should lead to more than awareness. It should change how we listen, teach, communicate and support one another.

Drawing on professional expertise and lived experience, we provide practical, evidence-informed education that helps people challenge assumptions, recognise individual needs and create more inclusive environments.

Our work reaches across schools, colleges, workplaces and family life. Through educational resources, online events and The Neuro-diversity Crew™, our developing programme for young people, we aim to turn greater understanding into meaningful everyday change.

MEET THE NEURO-DIVERSITY CREW™

Different Brains, Brilliant Minds

The Neuro-diversity Crew™ is a character-led educational programme from Neuro-diversity UK, designed to help young people understand neurodivergence in a positive, practical and age-appropriate way.

Through Milo, Amara, Oscar and Freya, pupils are encouraged to explore different experiences, build empathy and develop more inclusive attitudes in schools and colleges.

Making Inclusion Part of Everyday Life

Practical knowledge, tools and strategies to support neurodiversity

Education

Creating an inclusive school community means helping young people understand differences in learning, communication and everyday experiences.

Through The Neuro-diversity Crew™, we are developing an engaging educational programme that brings neurodivergent experiences to life through relatable teenage characters.

Our videos and supporting activities encourage pupils to challenge assumptions, understand different perspectives and consider how kindness, respect and practical support can make school a more inclusive place.

Workplaces

Neurodiversity inclusion in the workplace goes beyond awareness. It involves a deeper understanding of how communication, workplace expectations and working environments can affect people differently.

Drawing on professional expertise in neurodiversity and higher education, our online sessions explore the experiences of neurodivergent employees, common barriers to inclusion and practical approaches that can make a meaningful difference in everyday working life.

Parents & Carers

Every neurodivergent child or young person has their own strengths, experiences and support needs. Understanding these differences can help families feel more informed when navigating everyday challenges.

Our online sessions bring together professional knowledge and lived experience to explore neurodivergence in family and educational settings.

They offer practical perspectives to help parents and carers better understand their child's needs, recognise potential barriers and consider approaches that support their wellbeing and development.

With more than 35 years of experience in education, my career has included teacher training, inclusive practice and teaching in higher education.

My current university work includes teaching and developing learning on neurodiversity, bringing together research, professional practice and the realities of supporting neurodivergent learners and adults.

I am also the parent of a neurodivergent child, giving me a personal understanding of the challenges families can face when seeking appropriate support.

I founded Neuro-diversity UK to bring these experiences together and make specialist knowledge more accessible, practical and relevant to everyday life.
